Treatment description: Metronidazole
Metronidazole is designed to treat a whole host of bacterial infections, including bacterial sexually transmitted diseases such as trichomonas vaginalis and bacterial vaginosis (gardnerella vaginalis). It works by stopping the bacteria's ability to grow and multiply, which allows the body's immune system to naturally get rid of the foreign body by itself. This action speeds up your recovery and negates the chance of passing it onto someone else.
How does Metronidazole work?
Working at DNA level, Metronidazole stops the bacteria in your body from being able to strengthen and reproduce. Leaving the bacteria in a weakened state means the body's immune system has a better chance of being able to defeat the infection and get rid of it from your system.
